Empowering Young Minds at Greenwich and Lewisham Holiday Camps

Project Overview

Continuing our mission of compassion, the Foundation visited the Greenwich Borough Holiday Camps and the Lewisham Glassmill Leisure Centre, connecting with young people to offer encouragement and support.

What We've Done

We provided essential learning resources and gifts, helping students feel recognised and cared for. The founder’s message highlighted resilience, the value of education, and the strength of empathy.

These visits left a lasting impression: teachers expressed their appreciation for the uplifting experience, and students walked away inspired to aim higher and believe in their potential.

“This visit reminded us that our mission isn’t just about programmes — it’s about showing up, listening, and letting young people know they matter,” said Mrs Isoken Soskie Omeregie, AKA Pastor Soskie Omeregie.

  • Distributed Care Packages: Donated essential learning resources and gifts to over 150 young people across two different locations: the Greenwich Borough Holiday Camps and the Lewisham Glassmill Leisure Centre.

  • Shared a Message of Empowerment: The founder delivered an uplifting message to students, highlighting the value of education, empathy, and resilience, which was positively received by both participants and staff.

  • Built New Partnerships: Established relationships with key staff at both the Greenwich and Lewisham holiday camps, creating a foundation for ongoing support and future visits.

Project Results

The project successfully showcased the foundation's core mission of showing up and letting young people know they matter. Staff at both centers noted a visible boost in student morale and self-confidence following the visit. The foundation's work was also highlighted in a community newsletter, reaching an audience of over 1,000 local families and amplifying our message. The positive feedback and renewed sense of purpose among the young people affirmed that our mission is making a tangible difference in the community.
